Haindlicious

Filed under: Haindl Tarot Study, Other Sites — Tags: , — archertarot @ 9:51 pm

The past couple of weeks, I’ve been finding comfort in my Haindl and instead of wildly posting here every single tarot thought that comes to mind (or at least, trying to), I’m enjoying some quiet contemplation here.

It’s a bit too quiet though…apparently, I one day I got a record TWO visitors. If you like the Haindl and would like to make my contemplation a little less quiet, please come visit. :)

A 4-star review!

Filed under: Other Sites, Tarot Stripped Bare DVD — archertarot @ 6:29 pm

Solandia has just posted a very positive review of Tarot Stripped Bare over at Aeclectic Tarot. It got 4 stars, don’t-you-know?

I’m beginning to think maybe we didn’t do such a bad job after all. ;-)

Objects of Desire

Filed under: Other Sites, Random Tarotness — archertarot @ 11:50 am

I have discovered Etsy. Don’t – whatever you do – make the same mistake I did and type “tarot” into the search box. It will result in much coveting and yearning. Here are a few things I’m now desiring:

- A handmade set of 22 major arcana cards
- And another one, the Black Lilly Tarot
- A beautiful Fairy Queen tarot bag by BabaPrague
- And this totally-impractical-would-never-be-worn-but-need-it-anyway tarot charm bracelet

Tarot Teachings

Filed under: Other Sites — archertarot @ 4:58 pm

I’ve just found the Tarot Teachings website and I don’t know how I’ve managed to miss it before now. This fantastically detailed resource includes the history and use of tarot as well as sections on numerology, colorology and symbology, all of which can enhance your readings. The symbology section alone contains enough information to keep anyone occupied for a good few hours.

The site uses cards from the Rider Waite, Hanson Roberts, Morgan-Greer and Aquarian decks – all good solid beginners decks – making this an excellent site for absolute beginners as well as more experienced readers. Plus, it all looks really nice – I love the art deco illustrations.

Tarot Carnival!

Filed under: Other Sites, Random Tarotness — archertarot @ 6:25 pm

Willow – of Willow Tree Tarot - is valiantly trying to host a tarot blogging carnival, which is a great idea. In my blogging ignorance I’d never heard of a carnival until a few days ago but I’m proud to say I’m making my debut this week, as the first edition features my post about Houdini and the Magician. The carnival continues next week so if you have a tarot blog, submit something, and help Willow make it a success!

And do you know, try as I might, I could not find any pictures of people dressed as tarot cards dancing in the street to illustrate this piece. It’s a crying shame.
